KNRTU student is the gold medalist of WorldSkills world competition

Vadim Polyakov – the third-year student of Kazan National Research Technological University won the gold on WorldSkills-2017 world competition in Abu Dhabi.

Vadim Polyakov took the first place in “Refrigerating Engineering and Conditioning” competence. He took the third place in the national WorldSkills competition in Russia in 2015 and became the European champion in 2016.

The Russian team took the first place by team scoring, and fifth place in medal scoring with 11 medals and 21 medallions for professional competence. There were 50 competences, 1300 participants from 77 countries and over 2000 experts in jury. On closing ceremony on October 19 Kazan picked up the baton and officially became the organizer of WorldSkills competition, which will take place in 2019.

On November 15 the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the participants of WorldSkills-2017 from Tatarstan. There were 7 participants including three medalists: Andrey Dubanov, Pavel Fadeev and Vadim Polyakov. Albert Mineev was awarded with medallion for professional competence.
