A new area of cooperation between KNRTU and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences

On April 23-27, 2019, a delegation from the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) visited KNRTU.

KNRTU and Merseburg University have been cooperating for more than 50 years now. Since 2011, there is a double degree programs in two areas: Computer Science and Chemical Technology.
During the meeting of the Faculty of Sociotechnical Systems (FSTS) of KNRTU with the representatives of Merseburg University, an agreement was reached on the development of cooperation between the FSTS and the Faculty of Social Work of the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two faculties was signed. It included an agreement on joint supervision of theses, organizing and conducting joint research in Germany and Russia, joint scientific publications and participation in joint scientific grants in the field of Social Work.
The guests also met with Rector of KNRTU Sergey Yushko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexey Burmistrov, and visited the KNRTU History Museum.
In addition, a round table was held with the faculty of FSTS on the problems of social work in Germany and Russia. Also, representatives of the German university held two seminars for students on the “Professionalism in social work” (Prof. Christian Paulik) and “Comments to the Social Code of Germany” (Associate Prof. Halweig Hanke) topics. Apart from that, they listened to the reports of FSTS students at the event “Days of Science at FSTS”.
