KNRTU STUDENT PARTICIPATES IN THE VII CHILDREN OF ASIA INTERNATIONAL SPORTS GAMES

The VII Children of Asia International Sports Games was held from July 27 to August 8 in Vladivostok and gathered together 1700 athletes from 25 countries. Competitors took part in 19 different sports.

The Games have been held every four years since 1996 under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee and cover the entire Asian continent and some European countries.

At each stage, the guests and athletes of the Games were accompanied by volunteers from all over Russia, including from Kazan. "I was placed in the position of attache," says Valeria Sugak, a 3rd-year bachelor’s degree student of the Faculty of Environmental, Technological and Information Security at KNRTU. – I have accompanied the rhythmic gymnastics team of Uzbekistan. I was responsible for solving the team's problems and keeping them informed on transport, competitions and training schedule. My team have brought 5 medals to their country."

All volunteers have been carefully selected, as work at the competitions required social competence, stress-resistance and time management skills.
