St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF) is one of the most prestige business events in petrochemical industry, which annually brings together leading representatives of the global business community.

KNRTU participated in the business program, where the Acting Rector Yury Kazakov held a meeting with the representatives of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Our students have already started doing an internship in the framework of joint master’s program. The discussion mainly concerned further plans for the development of scientific and educational cooperation. Thus, the universities’ representatives consider interaction to be of utmost importance for preparing highly qualified and competitive specialists for petrochemical industry.

The cooperation between SPbPU and KNRTU resulted in a project on creation and implementation of an interdisciplinary Master's degree program in Materials Science and Technology “Smart Materials: Microscale and Macroscale Approaches”. The program was created by the Head of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Yury Galyametdinov and Associate Professor of the same department Artem Bezrukov.

At the beginning of this academic year, Zulfiya Kadeeva, associate professor of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is giving a series of workshops for the students of Gazpromneft Master’s degree program “Digital Economy and Business Analytics”. St. Petersburg International Gas Forum was held from 13 to 16 of September.
