On 15 December, the Kazan Kremlin hosted the awarding ceremony of the second republic competition “Engineer of the Year”. The winners and laureates of the competition were congratulated by the Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin.

“The issue of training professionals and engineers has always been relevant, since Tatarstan is the republic with a multifaceted economy, where petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, aircraft and shipbuilding, and dozens of other important fields are developed. The presence of highly qualified engineering personnel, advanced developments and new technologies plays a major role in industrial development of production, forming the basis for further re-equipment of national economy, the emergence of competitive industries”, the head of Parliament pointed out.

The competition is held with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan in 12 industry nominations among students, young workers and experienced engineers. The event gathered 279 participants, and the winners were 36 engineers, 10 of them were representatives of our university.
