KNRTU faculty and PhD students took part in the “EVRICA” (Effective Researcher: Formula for Successful Scientific Career) Doctoral School held online on 15-16 March by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). The online School was organized jointly by Doctoral Training Centers of KNRTU, MIPT and Russian State Vocational-Pedagogical University (RSVPU). The Doctoral Training Centers were established in these universities within the framework of the Erasmus+ MODEST project aimed at modernization of doctoral education in science and improvement of teaching methodologies.

The faculty and PhD students of KNRTU, MIPT and RSVPU were joined by participants from MODEST member universities around the world as well as from other partner universities, including Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, State Engineering University of Armenia, Yerevan State University, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, Polotsk State University (Belarus), Belarusian State Technological University, and others.

The activities in the framework of the Doctoral School were mainly aimed at developing soft skills, important for building a successful career in research and academic areas. On the first day of the online school the participants were given seminars on the following topics: “How to Succeed in Project Preparation and Management” (Irina Obukhova, MIPT), “Research Ethics” (Natalya Lomovtseva, RSVPU), “Internationalization of Research” (Alexander Golubov, University of Twente, the Netherlands). KNRTU professors also held their seminars on the same day.
