30.03.2022

On March 23, the new educational laboratory complex by “Unitech” company was demonstrated at KNRTU Physical and Colloid Chemistry Department. The new equipment is expected to completely replace the outdated one, which students used to operate when carrying out laboratory works.

“The unique feature of the new laboratory complex is that the equipment is completely digital. It allows not only to get readings and track experiment progress using computer, but also to control laboratory work progress from a smartphone” - the Head of Chemical and Colloid Chemistry Department Yuriy Galyametdinov noted.

Another advantage of the new laboratory complex is its versatility, that make it possible for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to carry out a wide range of research works. Besides, it can serve for performing all laboratory works that are provided for in physical and colloid chemistry courses. The digital laboratory encompasses separate units for chemistry, colloid chemistry, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics and phase equilibria.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Dilbar Sultanova. She emphasized the importance of launching the laboratory complex and stated that it will definitely contribute to the educational and scientific activities, that are being carried out at our university in the framework of the “Priority 2030” program.

All KNRTU students will be able to start working on a new digital equipment at the earliest opportunity. The Physical and Colloid Chemistry Department is also planning to open another laboratory class and scientific co-working zone in the nearest future.
