On the 11th of September has begun a series of excursions of KNRTU students to one of the largest chemical enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan Kazanorgsintez PJSC. The events are organized by the KNRTU Career Promotion Department. The second-year bachelor’s degree students of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry, participants of the project Technological Elite were the first to visit the museum and workshops of the plant. At first the undergraduates were given a safety briefing, issued overalls and told about the history of Kazanorgsintez.

At the museum, SIBUR ecology expert Roman Emelyushin spoke about how the company handles with environmental problems, what projects are being implemented and what technologies are being used to minimize the plant's impact on the environment.

The bus tour helped the students to assess the scale of the enterprise. The visit to the ethylene plant gave students an opportunity to understand what the production is, what technologies are used. According to Natalia Titova, a representative of SIBUR HR service, the undergraduates had a lot of questions about employment, the specifics of working at the enterprise, how young professionals are supported and the beginning of a career. At the end of the meeting, the students were presented with memorable gifts – books and branded souvenirs. The students were mostly impressed by the visiting of the control room at the ethylene plant.

"Overalls, masks, helmets - all this equipment gives a sense of the reality of what is happening," says Anna Alekseeva. – This is not just a video about the enterprise. This is an opportunity to see everything with your own eyes, to understand whether you are ready to connect the future with this enterprise, to communicate directly with a potential employer”.
