REPRESENTATIVES FROM BELARUSIAN STATE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY VISITED KNRTU

On November 11th the delegation of the Belarusian State Technological University consisting of the Rector of the university Igor Voitov and the Head of the Chair of Oil and Gas Refining and Petrochemistry Andrey Yusevich visited KNRTU.

The guests were welcomed by the Acting Rector of KNRTU Yury Kazakov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dilbar Sultanova, Acting Vice Rector for Scientific Work and Innovations Ruslan Safin, and also by Institute Directors and by the Heads of the Departments.

“We make progress despite the fact that this year was tough for the republic in terms of the sanctions pressure and disruption of supply chains. However, Russian petroleum products supplies is open for us and we are more and more going into chemistry direction: the industry of republic and BSTU have big plans to develop processing technologies, industrial capacities. Also, enterprises have requests for us in terms of import substitution.” – said Igor Voitov.

Colleagues mentioned the long-term cooperation between BSTU and KNRTU in many scientific and educational areas, such as academic exchange programs and joint conferences.

Yury Kazakov said that the university had prepared offers for the development of cooperation in technology of polymers and internships in BSTU for employees of the KNRTU Department of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical Industry. The large-scale plans of Belarus for the development of petrochemical industry as well as established cooperation with Gazprom, SIBUR and IT-companies, the KNRTU participation in the Federal Program of Advanced Engineering Schools Priority-2030 could make the cooperation more comprehensive.

As a result, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation at a higher level in the sphere of technology import-substitution, designing new production facilities, creating a joint R&D center in the other areas.
