KNRTU hosted the meeting with second-year students and representatives of SIBUR on November, 21. Thanks to the mutual cooperation of KNRTU and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), a double degree program is being implemented in two key majors: Polymers Processing and Engineering and Digital Engineering in Polymer Production and Processing. Students who have successfully completed the first two years of their studies have an opportunity to apply and continue their education in the 3rd and 4th year at BUCT.

“This meeting is attended by the most ambitious students and all of them understand the complexity of the program and are ready to accept this challenge. The intensive English course will start in December. The knowledge in this language is very important because all studies are conducted in English. At the moment, the labor market is in demand for specialists who not only speak English and Chinese, but are also experts in engineering. Enterprises need specialists with interdisciplinary competencies,” noted Dilbar Sultanova, KNRTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

Graduates of the program will not only receive a double diploma, but will be employed according to the performance contract. SIBUR cooperates with many countries all over the world. The company is ready to offer young specialists broad career prospects. During the meeting there were also discussed the possibilities of supporting students by covering their travel expenses and scholarship.

Managing Director of SIBUR Corporate University Rustam Galiakhmetov said that students will have the opportunity to complete practical trainings in various parts of our country, get to know the company better and decide on career path during their studies.
