The Hainan University course “Modern China – Beautiful New Hainan” was opened on December 19.

This course is created for Russian students who want to get a closer look at the Chinese education system, the basics of the language, and find out more about the country's culture. The course duration is 3 weeks, participants will take online classes and do creative tasks in calligraphy, martial arts, painting and literature via the course platform. Students will obtain a certificate which will be an important part of their portfolio for admission to Chinese universities.

The staff of the International Affairs, as well as second-year undergraduate students participating in the KNRTU+ PUHT double degree program, are involved on behalf of our university.

The opening ceremony took place at the School of International Education of Hainan University, while staff and students of KNRTU joined the event online, via the ZOOM platform.

There were representatives of the teaching and administrative staff of the Chinese university at the event, KNRTU was represented by Anna Sukhristina, Head of the International Affairs. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude to Hainan University for the opportunity given to the students, and also gave a talk about our city and university.

The event concluded with a general photo and watching a promo video of the university. Next, the students were divided into two subgroups according to their Chinese language skills, and they started their first language class.
