The names of the winners of the 10th “CASE-IN” International Engineering Championship became known. A total of over 8,000 students from 155 universities took part in this anniversary year's event, which is a record for the entire ten-year history of “CASE-IN”.

KNRTU's “Initiators” team won in the “Top 6 Breakthrough Solutions” category:

- Ayrat Kasimov, student of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (Department of Basic Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology)

- Svyatoslav Klementiev, postgraduate student of the Industrial Biotechnology Department

- Elvina Farkhutdinova, master's degree student of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (Department of Basic Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology)

- Anna Markhaeva, student of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (Department of Analytical Chemistry, Certification and Quality Management)

During the anniversary season, pupils, students and young professionals worked on cases created by the partner companies. All of them were related to the development of digitalization and the implementation of information technology at production sites. Our students had to develop a comprehensive solution project for optimizing operations, production management and production control systems at “ALROSA”, and improve its economic efficiency based on Industry 4.0 technology, justifying the most rational approach to managing this project and assessing its cost-effectiveness.

Oleg Dyachenko, Head of Division for Cooperation with Non-Profit Organizations of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, and Oxana Achkasova, Deputy Director General of Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Russia – Land of Opportunities”, took part in summing up the results and awarding the winners and runners-up of the Cup. She noted that the championship provided pupils with benefits for entering higher education institutions, students with internships, and young professionals with new opportunities for their professional development.

Thus, KNRTU students received not only valuable prizes from JSC Gazstroyprom, but also the opportunity to undertake an internship in this leading Russian company specializing in the construction of oil and gas infrastructure facilities.
