KNRTU STUDENT WON A PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION IN THE IT

The student of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry, Anna Markhaeva won the Secur'IT Cup'22 International Student Competition of IT-projects. Ten teams from Singapore, Egypt, Kuwait, Kenya and Russia competed in the final. Only one team of students from Innopolis, MIPT and KNRTU represented our country.

"We competed in the nomination of Care for the Family. It involved projects to help older people, pets and the financial security of the family," the winner noted.

The app, created by our young IT specialists determines the diseases of the stomach and presence of parasites in cats and dogs based on excrements photos. It works in English, but is also being adapted for use in Russian. A jury consisting of representatives of Kaspersky Lab and professors from Nanyang Technology University praised the development. The prize for participation was $3,000 per team.
