First-year Bachelor’s Degree students of KNRTU Department of Light Industry Technology and Materials visited the pilot production of Kazan Chemical Research Institute within the introduction course to the profession. For more than 60 years, the Institute is the main organization of the military-industrial complex of Russia in the field of development, manufacturing and quality assessment of personal protective equipment (PPE) against highly toxic and poisonous chemicals. More than 8000 m2 of production area and modern fleet of technological equipment are used for manufacturing composite materials and PPE suits.

Also, the students get acquainted with the technologies of composite materials production and the main stages of coating by calendering and spreading methods. The Head of the Testing Center Olga Antonovich presented to the students the testing base of the Institute and told about the methods used for testing the quality of materials and finished products.
