The consortium participants are the leading educational organizations in different regions of Russia that provide in-depth study of certain subjects – schools, lyceums, gymnasiums.

On May 11, a plenary session of the Consortium for the Development of School Engineering and Technology Education was held at our university, at the end of which an agreement was signed on the entry of KNRTU into the organization.

“KNRTU is the oldest engineering university in the country, a participant and winner of major federal competitions, the most important of which in terms of training engineering personnel Advanced Engineering Schools”, – said Yury Kazakov in his welcoming speech.

The event brought together representatives of educational institutions from different regions of our country – St. Petersburg, Kemerovo, Ulyanovsk, Rostov, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk and the Republic of Dagestan, as well as the representatives of large industrial corporations such as SIBUR and Gazprom Neft.

Many schools have specialized classes and targeted enrollment of students, but many representatives of companies say that in-depth study should be carried out not only at school, but also through additional education. That is why the speech of Tatyana Alekseeva, Head of the Department of General Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, was about the activities of the Quantoriums in the territory of the Republic.

The Chemical Lyceum of KNRTU also prepares students for further education in the technological field, and its location on the territory of Zelenodolsky District makes the Head of this district, Mikhail Afanasyev, an active participant of the consortium activities. According to the Head of the Zelenodolsky District, thanks to the activity of the Acting Rector of KNRTU and the help of the republican authorities, a campus will appear on the territory of the Chemical Lyceum, which will become a place of attraction for Olympiad students from all over the country.

The initiator of the consortium and moderator of the event on the basis of our university was the Director of Engineering and Technology School No. 777 Vera Knyazeva. And despite the fact that the consortium has existed for four years, it includes more than 60 educational organizations, and today five more have joined it from Dagestan, Ulyanovsk, Nefteyugansk, and two from Kazan.
