The rating agency Round University Ranking (RUR) has presented the results of the international ranking of universities in 2023. There are 1,214 leading universities of the world, including 122 from Russia.

The Republic of Tatarstan is represented by four universities: Kazan Federal University, Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev and Innopolis University.

KNRTU ranks 912th in the world ranking and 44th among Russian universities (last year 46th position).

Round University Ranking is an international university ranking, published by RUR Ranking Agency together with Clarivate Analytics since 2010. The headquarters of the agency is based in Tbilisi.

In this ranking universities are evaluated by 20 indicators, distributed in four areas of university activities: education (40%), research (40%), financial stability (10%) and internationalization (10%).
