In June 2023, KNRTU scientists visited the Federal Center for Neurosurgery of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Tyumen) at the invitation of its director, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Professor Albert A. Sufianov. This is the leading medical institution in the country, performing complex brain surgeries.

Our colleagues – Head of the Department of Medical Engineering Ildar N. Musin, Head of the Department of Clothing and Footwear Design Professor Natalia V. Tikhonova, and Director of the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design Professor Elmira R. Khairullina – visited laboratories equipped with advanced medical technology and a training center. During the business program, the prospects for cooperation between KNRTU and Federal Center for Neurosurgery were discussed.

“We have planned joint activities in the development of medical simulators, medical products for rehabilitation in the postoperative period, and manufacturing of popular medical products using additive technologies. We also intend to provide support in creating, patenting, and registering medical products in neurosurgery,” – said Ildar N. Musin.

According to Elmira R. Khairullina, in addition to technical cooperation in creating new products and technologies for healthcare, targeted training and student internships of KNRTU students who study medical technologies and biotechnological systems could also be included as mutually beneficial partnership directions with the Federal Center for Neurosurgery.
