From 7 to 9 June, Kazan hosted the first International Forum of Education Ministers Shaping the Future at the Bashir Rameyev Technopark. The event was organised by the Russian Ministry of Education and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The forum was attended by delegations from 31 countries, as well as representatives from the education sector in Russia's regions, including Yury Kazakov, Acting Rector of KNRTU, Maxim Tyupich, Vice Rector for Administration, and representatives from the International Affairs Office.

Participating countries include Egypt, Qatar, Brazil, Oman, Mali, Equatorial Guinea, CAR, Syrian Arab Republic, UAE, Pakistan, Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and others.

The business program included plenary sessions, bilateral meetings with the Russian Ministry of Education and Science to discuss the role of education in economic development, accessibility of quality education, work with young people and Russian language teaching in other countries.

The forum included a specialized exhibition, which presented educational and methodological manuals, equipment for classrooms, laboratories and pre-professional classes.
