Representatives from the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design of KNRTU visited Ufa and held a series of meetings, agreeing on cooperation and exchange of experience. In a conversation with the Head of the Department for Development of Timber Industry Complex and Light Industry of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Lyudmila N. Klyuchnikova, our colleagues discussed KNRTU’s participation in the Legprom forum-exhibition of light industry, which will take place in October in Ufa.

At this event, representatives from the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design of KNRTU will make a speech, as well as a series of negotiations, through which it is possible to expand cooperation in terms of internships for faculty and students and support for small businesses.

They discussed with Yusup D. Yakubov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the support for the university and the organization of a Doors Open Day this fall in Ufa.

According to the Director of the Institute of Light Industry, Fashion and Design of KNRTU Professor Elmira R. Khairullina, the demand for specialists in artistic and technical direction is extremely high now, therefore to share experience with the colleagues was very exciting. “The department provides end-to-end training in modeling and designing sewing and textile products, designing clothes for various purposes on the basis of digital technologies, virtual and augmented reality and artificial intelligence. We got acquainted with the department staff, toured the laboratories, and discussed the issues of training and graduates’ employment,” – said Elmira R. Khairullina.

Agidel is one of the leading multi-sectoral enterprises in Russia, which concentrates a huge number of areas: from artistic wood painting and weaving to furniture and yurt production.

“This company is a member of the Board of Trustees of our Institute. It is actively supported by the government of the Republic and does what is important for us and our students. Within the framework of the visit to the company, we discussed the issues of cooperation, internships and employment of our students. It is important that our Institute conducts scientific developments that are of interest to Agidel, in particular textile materials,” – said Elmira R. Khairullina.
