From June 1st to June 30th our university held a traditional online Olympiad Russian Language: Start to Profession for students of preparatory faculties (departments) of higher education institutions of Russia, organized by the Faculty of International Educational Programs and the KNRTU Department of Foreign Languages for Professional Communication.

It was attended by students from Tomsk State University, Chuvash State University, Mari State University, Tula State University, Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, Komsomolsk-on-Amur State University, there are in total 35 foreign students, studying Russian language and specialized courses for further enrollment in Russian universities. They came to get higher education in Russia from Asia, Africa, Latin America and neighboring countries.

The Olympiad was conducted for the 8th time in order to promote the Russian language and stimulate the creativity of foreign students.

The jury members emphasized that almost all the works were original, diligent and with great sympathy for Russia and for the city and university, where the international students are studying today. It was a great pleasure to watch the video greetings of the participants from different countries, where they spoke enthusiastically about their love for Russia and the Russian language.

“I have arrived from another country, a different continent, where we have different languages that are totally distinct from Russian. My native country is Tanzania. When I came to Russia, I was impressed by how Russian sounds. It is one of the most complicated, but at the same time the richest and most expressive language”, writes Kimario Flora, a student of the KNRTU Faculty of International Educational Programs.

We sincerely wish all participants of the Olympiad a successful enrollment in the chosen Russian university and, indeed, we are waiting for everyone at KNRTU!
