KNRTU scientists will join the developments of the Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations Technology Center. The partnership agreement was signed at the TatOilExpo-2023.

The main area of cooperation will be the synthesis of chemical products in small quantities. These are various reagents, solvents, inhibitors and other types of chemical compounds that are needed in the production of household goods. Due to low profitability, such components are practically not produced at large chemical enterprises in Russia and require individual laboratory work.

As part of the partnership agreement, KNRTU will join to the Gazprom Neft's technology platform, which combines the capacities of 9 scientific and engineering centers. The platform will provide a unified ecosystem for data exchange and simplify the formation of project teams.

“We see great prospects for cooperation with scientists from Tatarstan in other areas as well. For example, this concerns research into new areas of oil refining, as well as joint training and employment of young specialists”, said Mikhail Nikulin, General Director of Gazprom Neft – Industrial Innovations.

According to Rector of KNRTU Yury Kazakov, a number of projects in the field of pharmasynthesis are already being implemented within the cooperation between KNRTU and Gazprom Neft – Industrial Innovations, and there are plans for projects in low-tonnage chemistry.

“Many areas of our scientific and technological developments are close or overlap and, I am sure, with closer cooperation we will be able to mutually strengthen each other”, emphasized Yury Kazakov.
