KNRTU took part in the international specialized exhibition TatOilExpo-2023, which opened on August 31th as part of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum. The exhibition is attended by companies from Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, China and African countries. The exposition of KNRTU is devoted to the achievements and prospects of a unique division of our university - the Project Design Institute Soyuzkhimpromproekt, which this year celebrates its 70th anniversary. Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the stand on the opening day of the exhibition.

Rector of KNRTU Yury Kazakov and Director of Soyuzkhimpromproekt Pavel Kochnev presented the exposition to the guests of honor. The head of the project institute told about the new directions of work of his institution. Nowadays in Russia it is very important to replace technologies that have become unavailable as a result of sanctions. Over the last year, Soyuzkhimpromproekt together with KNRTU scientists prepared four major projects for implementation: production of ethylvinylacetate (sevylene) and high-pressure polyethylene, production of catalysts for polyolefins, regeneration of spent acids in the defense industry, and production of additives for motor and transformer oils.

The stand of the design institute presented information about the main stages of development of the enterprise, established in 1953 as a branch of the Moscow State Union Special Design Institute No. 1, information about current areas of work, the largest projects of recent years and an impressive geography of partnership.

The exhibition, which is attended by the largest companies - manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, oil corporations and holdings, oil and gas production and processing enterprises, oil service and exploration structures, will last until September 2.
