On October 24, in the assembly hall of the A-building was held a meeting on the admission of students to study under the double degree program, implemented jointly with a long-standing partner of KNRTU – Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

This year the meeting was attended by 2nd year bachelor students from all institutes. Our university has a successful experience of working with BUCT: in September, 14 students, who successfully passed a multi-stage selection process, left for Beijing. Today the group continues their studies in the 3rd year at BUCT. The students’ feedback about the program is only positive, the other day they made a fascinating video about life on campus.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Professor Dilbar Sultanova told about the opportunities of this program. Thanks to the interest of KNRTU’s industrial partner, SIBUR, students, who have signed a performance agreement with the company, have the opportunity for financial support during two years of study in China: covering transportation costs, a monthly scholarship (for students with grades 4 and 5), an English language course, as well as the opportunity to intern and work both at SIBUR enterprises in Russia and at Sinopec – China’s largest oil refining and petrochemical company. “There is no need to be afraid, it is important to act,” – emphasized the Vice-Rector.

Anna Sukhristina, Director of KNRTU International Affairs Office, told about the program, enrollment stages and answered the questions the students were interested in. At present, a new program in Mechanical Engineering is under development and enrollment is also open. Noting that education in China is conducted entirely in English, Anna Sukhristina also emphasized the importance of language training.
