KNRTU develops partnership with Malaysian universities

From October 24 to 27, Yury Kazakov, Rector of KNRTU, together with the Administration of the Rais(Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan and heads of higher education institutions paid an official visit to Malaysia. A signing ceremony was held as part of the meeting with the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, during which KNRTU signed agreements with the oldest state technical university in the country University of Technology Malaysia and with relatively young University of Kuala Lumpur, which was established in 2002, but for twenty years has made good progress in the world rankings of the best educational institutions.

During the week, a group of representatives visited several of the country's largest universities. Among them are: Universiti Malaya (UM) - the number 1 higher education institution in the country, Universiti Technology MARA (UiTM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The delegation also toured to the city of Cyberjaya, known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. The offices and data centers of many multinational companies are concentrated in Syberjaya, as well as the University of Syberjaya (UOC) and Cyberview, where the group also paid an official visit.

"This is a new page of international relations with the leading foreign universities for KNRTU. We are working out the common ground to build further cooperation with the intitutions," - emphasised Yury Kazakov.
