Students and professors of Kazan National Research Technological University from the Institute of Polymers, the Institute of Innovation Management and the Department of Medical Engineering participated in the plenary session and the work of sections within the framework of the large–scale event "TIME: Russia - India. Mutual Efficiency", dedicated to cooperation between Russia and India in key areas for technological development. The events highlighted such vectors of interaction as science and healthcare.

The first discussion, organized by the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan, was devoted to integrating the experience of the past into the medicine of the future. This topic is especially relevant for future chemical technologists and KNRTU specialists.

The plenary session and sections of the event proved that breakthroughs in modern medicine are impossible without a fundamental scientific base and an interdisciplinary approach. It is our graduate technologists and engineers who create the material and technological basis for such research, from the development of new materials to the creation of sophisticated laboratory equipment. The second session, supervised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, directly reflects the mission of KNRTU. The participants discussed how universities and engineering education should change in the era of global change.

The KNRTU students were particularly interested in the exhibition with the stands of leading companies and enterprises of Tatarstan. It was possible to get acquainted with Indian culture here, participate in master classes and watch performances by Tatarstan and Indian artists. Attending such events expands horizons for our students. They see that their future profession is not limited to the walls of laboratories or factories. It is directly related to improving people's quality of life and creating the technologies of the future.

Participation in the discussions allowed the students of KNRTU not only to gain new knowledge, but also to take a fresh look at the prospects of their own research and future careers.
