KNRTU hosted opening of IT company RTSIM brand zone, a strategic partner of the Advanced Engineering School “Promkhimtech. The ceremony took place in the transition gallery between buildings D and E.

Honorable guests cut the traditional red ribbon, symbolically opening a new space, the central element of which was the dynamic layout of the distillation unit, where students can not only observe the processes, but also independently control the equipment.

The rector of KNRTU, Yuri Kazakov, expressed gratitude to the partners: "RTSIM is a reliable friend of the university. Since 2022, Airat Mukhametzyanov has repeatedly participated in accomplishment of our development program. It is particularly valuable that the company invests not only in infrastructure, but above all in human capital – in the education of our students and teachers. Such branded zones that appear at the university become places of attraction for young people and change the educational environment. Without you, there would not be such a dynamic of development."

Airat, General Director of RTSIM, emphasized: "We deliberately involved our KNRTU graduates in the creation of this zone. Many of them participated in the design development, the choice of colors and materials. This is an opportunity for our students to contribute to the university. The main goal of this space is to motivate students to learn and become better by showing the practical application of disciplines such as hydraulics and so on."

Natalia Bashkirtseva, Director of the Institute of Petroleum, Chemistry and Nanotechnology at KNRTU, noted: "RTSIM is distinguished by the fact that it is directly involved in our educational process. Our masters, third- and fourth-year students, and now sophomores, who have already using RTSIM simulators, are growing with the company. This mutual enrichment is very important for our development."

Ruslan Paley, Director of Promkhimtech engineering school at KNRTU, added: "The place was chosen on purpose – it is a transition from one state to another. It is especially significant that the discovery occurs at the moment when we have gained sufficient momentum and see the first results of our joint work. The students who study here are really at the forefront of industry changes together with RTSIM company."

The opening ceremony of the brand zone was also a moment of achievements recognition: Yuri Kazakov, student Igor Merzlyakov and his supervisor Elvira Garifullina were awarded cups for winning the "Best Digital Technologist-2024" championship.

The head of the Advanced school program, Elvira Garifullina, shared: "When I was a student, I also worked in this transition. It is very encouraging to see how comfortable learning conditions have been created here now." She also thanked the company for its long-term cooperation, noting joint projects from championships and hackathons to teacher training programs and work with schoolchildren.

The new brand zone is another step in the development of a strategic partnership between the university and the company, offering students a unique opportunity to work with digital counterparts of real industrial equipment.
