Gulnaz Rakhmatullina, Head of the Plasma Chemical Technologies of Nanomaterials and Coatings Department , PhD in Technical Sciences, participated in the industry conference "Digitalization in Materials Science. Dialogue with the government and industry." The event, which took place in Moscow, was organized by Rosatom's fuel company, TVEL JSC, with the support of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

The participation of the KNRTU representative became possible thanks to the cooperation and personal invitation from TVEL JSC.

The conference was opened by Olga Ospennikova, a well-known specialist in the field of materials science and additive technologies, Advisor to the President of TVEL JSC. Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance of Russia showed the audience measures of state support and subsidization of projects.

The conference was organized in the format of a panel discussion and a working session. The panel discussion discussed barriers to the implementation of digital materials science tools. How do different industries overcome them? How can we combine efforts and create a single mechanism for implementing digital materials science tools, ensuring regulatory regulation? The working session focused on the formation of concrete steps for the introduction of digital materials science technologies.

The conference program covered a wide range of topics with a focus on current challenges and barriers that need to be addressed. The speakers discussed industrial software in the field of mathematical modeling, the challenges of development and import substitution in the context of digitalization in materials science, and the development of a client-server application that enables remote (within a local network) work with information about materials, blanks, samples, and test results in web format.

"Participation in such a forum is very valuable, since the event was aimed at concrete results, from discussing problems to making concrete proposals for their solution," Gulnaz said. The conference became a platform for a substantive dialogue between technology developers, consumers and the government. For the university, the results of the conference set the vector for qualitative changes in educational programs, taking into account new points of interaction with the government and industrial partners.
