KNRTU Graduates' Regina Gaffanova and Andrey Goryachev Start-ups made the top ten in the ranking at the IV All-Russian Forum of Technological Entrepreneurship "Techpred-2025", held in Moscow in December 2025.
The forum brought together more than 2,000 participants — representatives of government authorities, universities, businesses, the investment community and technology entrepreneurs. It is the flagship event of the University's Technology Entrepreneurship Platform, which in the spring of 2025 was included in the federal Technology project of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The announcement of the top 10 university startups of 2025 was one of the key events of the forum.
This year, more than 2,300 applications from university teams from all over Russia were evaluated in the University Startup rating, which is conducted to support and popularize technological entrepreneurship in universities. 50 teams selected from the All-Russian ranking of the top 1000 university startups reached the final stage. The participants presented their projects to an expert jury, which formed the final ten.
Based on the results of the pitching, the expert jury identified the absolute leaders: five startups with a high degree of maturity and five startups at an early stage.
One of the best projects with a high degree of maturity is the startup of graduate student Regina Gaffanova BiSurf to create a bifunctional dual-acting reagent to increase oil recovery through the extraction of residual hard-to-recover oil. This reagent based on surfactants obtained from vegetable oils simultaneously possesses the oil-washing properties of surfactants and the oil-displacing properties of polymers.
Andrey Goryachev's startup Emultechnologies, dedicated to the development of a high—quality domestic emulsifier for bitumen emulsions, is among the top five early-stage projects. This component is necessary to create water-bitumen emulsions that are convenient and safe to use in the framework of the so-called "cold technologies" used in road construction. This promising development, it should be noted, was presented by Andrey Goryachev to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, this year.
Welcoming the forum participants, Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, noted: "Universities across the country are turning into real startup factories today: breakthrough ideas are being born here, teams are being formed, and the first pilots are being launched. Thousands of students, postgraduates, and scientists are already working on projects in promising industries. Today we see those who are not afraid to turn bold ideas into real technological solutions."
The victory of two representatives of KNRTU at once and the presence of 27 projects of our young scientists in the TOP 1000 ensured the university's entry into the TOP 10 universities in Russia in terms of the development of youth technological entrepreneurship!
