KNRTU students took part in the Yoldyz Republican Media Award, a competitive educational project for students of professional and higher educational organizations who have achieved significant results in the media sphere. According to the results of the selection, several representatives of the university, announced in various nominations, reached the finals at once.

The KNRTU finalists were: the Step Media School in the Media Project of the Year nomination (winner), Kirill Averin in the Discovery of the Year special nomination (special prize), the telegram channel in the Telegram Channel of the Year category (winner), as well as Alina Lekomtseva and Anna Baiduganova. with her work in the nomination "Best social video" (winner).

The Step Media School combined an educational program, a well-thought-out concept, and the final stage with case defense. The project involved 50 students who developed skills in one of five areas: leadership, copywriting and SMM, design, photography and video. In the final, the teams demonstrated the ability to work together, combine different competencies and turn ideas into ready-made media projects.

In the special nomination "Discovery of the Year" Kirill Averin presented author's materials created within the framework of the proposed list of topics. The final stage was a face-to-face defense, which included a self-presentation and a master class dedicated to adapting the content for yourself.

In the Telegram Channel of the Year nomination, the IHNM team prepared a portfolio and self-presentation, choosing a non-standard presentation format. The participants used the image of the mascot of the Shlemych channel and fortune-telling on koto cards, through which they talked about the development of the project. When evaluating the channel, experts took into account not individual publications, but the work of the channel over the year: categories, coverage, visual style, design and content integrity.

The social video by Alina Lekomtseva and Anna Baiduganova was dedicated to developing patriotism for their hometown of Kazan and attracting tourist interest.
