VICTORY AND FIVE KNRTU SPECIAL PRIZES: RESULTS OF TATARSTAN’S STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

The awarding ceremony of the XXI Republican Award "Student of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan - 2025" was held at the Pyramid Amusement Complex. This year's event set a record: 574 applications were submitted, of which 78 reached the final. The participants traditionally presented their achievements in the fields of science, creativity, sports, media, youth policy, entrepreneurship, student leadership, social activities and volunteerism.

Opening the ceremony, Shamil Yakupov, President of the Students League of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted that the continuity of the award remains, and it remains a point of attraction for students who strive to participate and achieve victory. He also recalled the slogan of the event - "Here. Now. Always."

47 students from KNRTU participated in the award, 9 of them became finalists. The participants passed the correspondence and face-to-face stages of the competitive selection.

The nomination "Media Personality of the Year" was awarded by the press secretary of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Lilia Galimova. She noted the topicality of the nomination and emphasized that it is media professionals who help preserve the most vivid student memories. A special prize in the nomination was awarded to Kristina Ruppel.

The nominees in the Student Creative Team of the Year category were welcomed by Venera Ganeeva, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, and Gulnaz Shakirova, a Kazan performer. They congratulated the participants and wished them not to be afraid to express themselves. A special prize was awarded to the musical group "Banjo".

The Startup of the Year nomination was presented by Ruslan Vlasov, Director of the Technopark in the field of high technologies, and Damir Galiev, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was noted that combining study, science and entrepreneurship is aerobatics. The winner of the nomination was Likhimtech (BiSurf project) by Regina Gaffarova, a graduate student at the Institute of Petrochemistry and Nanotechnology at KNRTU, who received 100,000 rubles for the development of a startup and access to the infrastructure of the IT park for six months.

In the nomination "Student Council of the Dormitory of the Year", the awards were presented by Dmitry Khvostikov, Chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of the Kazan Executive Committee, and Nikita Kuznetsov, a blogger. A special prize was awarded to our House of Graduate Students and Students No. 2.

The nomination "Student Government Body of the Year" was awarded by Timur Suleymanov, Assistant to the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Svetlana Zakharova, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan. They remarked that the republic has created great opportunities for the development and promotion of student initiatives. A special prize was awarded to the Union of Undergraduates and Postgraduates.

In the nomination "Creative Personality of the Year", the participants were welcomed by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Saida Mukhametzyanova, as well as Kazakh and Russian film and television actor Askar Ilyasov. They wished the nominees to push forward, to make bold decisions, to be able to take risks and not be afraid of mistakes. AINUR TIMERGALIEV (We miss you Ainur) was awarded a special prize in the nomination.

KNRTU's Club of humor in the nomination "Student Organization of the Year", Ksenia Anikeeva in the nomination "Startup of the Year", NTC BIOPOLYMER LLC and Maxim Tsyganok in the nomination "Social Activist of the Year" also became laureates from KNRTU.

The festive atmosphere of the evening was complemented by a concert program with the participation of creative teams from Kazan universities. The audience saw vocal and dance performances combining national color and modern style. «Cajon» music band also took part in the gala concert with the song "In these Houses". The issue was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the League of Students of the Republic of Tatarstan.

"I am glad that I was recognized and awarded a special prize. The internship to Yashlek I won may be an interesting opportunity for me in the future. I think my design skills helped me a lot to achieve high results - many people noted them during face-to-face tests. It was also important to always strive to do the work efficiently, but at the same time not be afraid of mistakes, be able to recognize them and prevent them in the future," Kristina Ruppel shared her impressions.
