The 11th Corporate Championship of Professional Skills of the Roscosmos State Corporation finishedin Kazan. KNRTU was one of the key venues of the event. At the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry of the University, industry specialists and students competed in the competence of "Laboratory Chemical Analysis".

For KNRTU, this event was the first contact with the state corporation, opening the way to a long-term scientific and technological partnership.

"For us, cooperation with Roscosmos is primarily about scientific activities, rather than just providing a platform for competitions," emphasizes Professor Ilfar Gilmutdinov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation. "Rocket fuels are energy-rich materials. Our Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology is successfully engaged in this field. Additionally, we have a Center for Engineering Research that can design modern and efficient rocket fuels. Furthermore, our Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry conducts frontier research in optics and quantum dots, which is also of direct interest to the corporation. We are at the very beginning of our strategic partnership. Hosting the championship on our premises allowed us to showcase our real scientific achievements to the industry for the first time and discuss the training of personnel for Roscosmos' current and future projects in Tatarstan."

The championship's business program included roundtables on the implementation of the federal project "Personnel for Space," the development of the mentorship system, and advanced methods of career guidance. The event was also held at the Kazan Helicopter Plant's Production and Training Center (Russian Helicopters) and other leading technical educational institutions in Tatarstan's capital.

More than 600 participants took part in the competition, including employees of the state corporation's enterprises, students from the Roscosmos Constellation Consortium's supporting universities and colleges, as well as representatives from Rosatom and Rostech. The participants demonstrated their skills in 26 competencies, including Space Systems Engineering, Digital Transformation, Additive Manufacturing, and Composite Technologies.

Representatives of the Roscosmos State Corporation highly appreciated the technical equipment of the KNRTU laboratories, choosing the Department of Chemical Engineering as the venue for the most complex chemical competency.

“The championship at the KNRTU site confirmed the availability of the necessary infrastructure and expert potential,” the corporation’s press service noted. “We are ready to consider the KNRTU proposals for the implementation of targeted training for students in specialties in demand at the enterprises of the rocket and space industry.”
