20.10.2026

Students of KNRTU won bronze awards at the All‑Russian cybersecurity competitions Ampire Trophy..

The competition finals were held at the cyberpoligon as part of the Ampire 360° conference. The participants went through the qualifying stages, solved practical tasks, and demonstrated teamwork skills in conditions close to real‑life ones.

The KNRTU team, consisting of Kamil Zakirov, Vladislav Schmidt, and Ramis Khafizov, won third place after a tough competition. The participants successfully completed the practical tasks and demonstrated a high level of teamwork.

All the scenarios, vulnerabilities, and consequences of cyberattacks used in the tasks were developed by the “Prospective Monitoring” team specifically for the Ampire Trophy and were new for all competition participants. This made it possible to create a truly fair and unpredictable competitive environment.

“Third place is a real victory for our students; they’ve been working towards this since 2022,” said Lina Safiullina, head of the Department of Information Security at KNRTU. “This result proves that our students are among the best in the field of information security in Russia, as teams from twenty universities that focus specifically on information security took part in the competition. We are incredibly proud of our students and believe in their future successes — the All‑Russian Cyber Battle at Kazan Digital Week is ahead.”

A project by students and faculty from the Department of Information Security at KNRTU, the Red Team Labs scenarios, received special mention at the conference. The development by our specialists was presented as part of the practical program Ampire 360° and aroused keen interest among the event participants.
