Physicochemical fundamentals of nanotechnology


 

This course provides an overview of nanomaterials properties, preparation methods and usage. In the framework of the course theoretical approaches defining the dependence of nanomaterials physicochemical properties on their size are considered. Various methods of obtaining nanomaterials are presented. Experimental work introduces modern methods of synthesis and research of nanoparticles. The seminar materials present modern approaches to the creation and research of nanomaterials, their application in different areas.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Select the best methods for the preparation of nanomaterials with desired properties;

2. Choose research methods and establish the properties of nanotechnology objects;

3. Determine the correlation between the dimensional and physicochemical characteristics of nanosystems;

4. Apply theoretical approaches to the development and research of new types of nanomaterials
