The Department of Clothes and Footwear Design was originated from the Textiles Technology Department at the beginning of 2005 due to reforms in education.

Academics

The department offers training for full-time students, internal and extra-mural programs. Highly qualified lecturers and instructors help students to acquire good knowledge and develop their individual potentials.

The students are engaged in the contests within the university, city and region and take the first prizes. Our graduates are engaged in design of all types of textiles, footwear and leather goods.

Research

Research in the Department is prevalent in applied science problems:

• garment design for the non-standard figures;
• theory of special disciplines teaching methods;
• information technologies in textile goods production;
• new items of garments and footwear development.
