Preparation
August 2019: a kick-off meeting to coordinate the courses and learning outcomes, check the study programs and curriculum, print out pilot teaching and learning materials, distribute responsibilities and schedule the activities for year 1, such as the business game with schoolchildren, the workshop for KNRTU students and the survey among industry representatives.

Implementation

Year 1 (Total Budget 11 374 €)
86 contact hours for the MSc students, 4 new courses (Budget 9 374 €):
- EU Practices to Support Innovative Engineering Entrepreneurship (25 hours)
- EU Quality Standards and Environmental Policy (17 hours)
- EU 3rd Generation Universities as an Integrated Innovative Environment for Young Future Makers (21 hours)
- EU Entrepreneurship Values: Cultural Diversity and Unity (23 hours)
A business game on European entrepreneurship values for ~35 secondary school children of KNRTU chemical college (Budget 1 000 €).
A workshop on ‘European Granting Foundations for R&D Commercialization’ for ~100 KNRTU PhD students in Engineering (Budget 700 €).
A survey among ~30 representatives of Tatarstan chemical cluster to reveal the gaps in the European values of innovative entrepreneurship (Budget 800 €).
The materials developed for the modules will be sent for expertise to the European network Netzwerk ZENIT e.V. The approval procedure for expertise will be developed and implemented (Budget 1 000 €).

Year 2 Based on the 1st year survey results, the previously developed courses for the MSc students to be updated and given to the students within the study plan (Budget 9 374 €). A workshop on ‘European Granting Foundations for R&D Commercialization’ for ~100 KNRTU PhD students in Engineering (Budget 700 €).
The module web-page will be created on web-site of KNRTU www.kstu.ru (Budget 1 200 €).
A workshop on the EU standards for quality management, environmental regulations and cross-cultural communications for enterprises participating in the Kamsky innovative territorial-production cluster ‘InnoKam’. Handouts will be developed and disseminated to the enterprises through the representatives who take part in the workshop (Budget 1 600 €).
Participation of 3 MSc students in the annual research to practice international conference ‘Partnership for Cluster Development’ (Budget 800 €).

Year 3 Introduction and approval by the KNRTU University Academic Council of a new study plan for the MSc students ‘Commercialization of R&D Results in Chemical Engineering’, including 86 contact hours of the module courses (Budget 9 374 €).
A workshop on ‘European Granting Foundations for R&D Commercialization’ for ~100 KNRTU PhD students in Engineering (Budget 700 €).
Publication of 3 study guides (Budget 1 248,8 €):
- ‘The European Policy to Support Innovative (Technological and Engineering) Entrepreneurship’
- ‘European Entrepreneurship Values: the EU Cultural Diversity and Unity’
- ‘Transformations of European Universities into the Centers of Innovative Excellence’
Publication of 4 research papers on the results of the module (Budget 1 500 €).

Evaluation
Year 1: the materials developed for the modules will be sent for expertise to the European innovative network ZENIT e.V.
Year 2:
- evaluation by partners from EU engineering education societies
Year 3:
- evaluation of the MSc graduates’ competencies by the regional chemical cluster;
- evaluation of the courses by partner universities;
- survey of the students on the teaching quality for the new courses.

Follow-up
- annual enrollment of engineering MSc students for the new program including new Jean Monnet module courses;
- annual workshop on ‘European Granting Foundations for R&D Commercialization’ for KNRTU PhD students in Engineering;
- a web-site regularly updated on implementation of the new study plan and careers of the MSc program graduates.

Dissemination
- 3 study guides in 100 copies each, 20 copies sent out to Russian libraries; e-versions available on-line;
- teaching and learning materials in open access on the module web-site;
- 4 research papers published;
- module results reported at conferences by the students and professors, including Annual Conference of International Society for Engineering Education (IGIP) http://igip.org/;
- results disseminated among partner universities running similar engineering MSc programs during the peer meetings.
