JM Module “The European Union Entrepreneurial Environment at HEIs: Changing the World by Technology Ventures” was presented at International Conference on Efficient Production and Processing (ICEPP-2020) in Prague

On February 20, 2020, Anna Starodubova gave a report on “The role of quality standards for chemical products existing on the markets of the European Union in development of innovative entrepreneurship” at the International Conference on Efficient Production and Processing (ICEPP-2020) in Prague.

The conference was organized by Business Communication Center s.r.o. of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia) in partnership with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Vienna, Austria), Kazan National Research Technological University (Russia) and Prague University (Czechia) on February 27-28, 2020.

The conference gathered together researchers from the EU countries and Russia, and covered a wide scope of topics, including the development of modern technologies, systems and solutions used in agriculture, as well as the production of healthy food and efficient waste treatment. The conference also aimed at improving cooperation between the universities and researchers.

Anna Starodubova gave a report at the session on efficient waste treatment which joined together participants from Austria, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Cyprus, Turkey, the Ukraine and Russia. She shared her experience of implementing a Jean Monnet Module at the university for MSc students. She suggested using an integrated evaluation of standard influence on the results of industrial production. She evaluated chemical products from 26 EU countries in 2018. She highlighted the fact that standards contribute developing innovations in secondary waste recycling. The session participants were interested in the report and asked Anna a question about the opportunities to use the EU experience of standardization in other countries of the world. In general, the conference organizers and participants gave a high evaluation to the JM Module and research done.

A positive follow-up of the conference is the invitation of Anna Starodubova to participate in the editorial board of the American Journal of Applied Scientific Researchю All the presentations given at EDUCON2020 were published as papers in conference proceedings, and the paper is currently available in Scopus, and IEEEXplore databases https://www.e3s-conferences.org/articles/e3sconf/abs/2020/21/e3sconf_iceppPrague2020_01092/e3sconf_iceppPrague2020_01092.html.
