Meeting of Erasmus+ MODEST Consortium Members with KNRTU Administration, Scientists and Postgraduate Students

On June 2nd, KNRTU hosted a meeting of Erasmus+ MODEST Consortium members with University’s administration, scientists and postgraduate students. During this meeting KNRTU and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) signed Cooperation Agreement.

Yury Kazakov, Acting Rector of KNRTU, noted the importance of universities experience exchange in training of highly qualified specialists and thanked for the visit in that challenging time.

Dilbar Sultanova, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, noted that Erasmus+ program was very important for the University science one of its aims was increasing qualification of Faculty. This program is the link between European Union and Russian Universities which we can use for academic mobility of students and young scientist.

Julia Ziyatdinova, Foreign Languages for Professional Communication Department Chair and the KNRTU supervisor of MODESR project, introduced the participants:
- Dr. Ruben Aghgashyan - Vice Rector for International Relations and Development Programs of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA);
- Elena S. Mishchenko - Vice Rector for International Activities of Tambov State Technical University;
- Galina D. Kuznetsova - Head of Educational Programs Directorate of Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography;
- Irina G. Obukhova - Senior Specialist for International Scientific Cooperation and Projects.

Vice Rector for International Relations and Development Programs of NPUA shared about university's extensive experience of participation in Erasmus+ programs and expressed readiness to continue cooperation with KNRTU in future projects.

The colleagues also noted that in a year it will be possible to submit the next application for the Erasmus+ program. “We all hope to expand graduate students’ mobility and broaden their minds from the scientific part” - concurred the participants.

Yuriy Galyametdinov, Chair of the Department of Phisical and Colloid Chemistry spoke about the new English-taught master's degree program “Smart Materials” and noticed that it was a great chance to attract postgraduates from all over the world.

On that day a seminar for the Consortium members was organized at KNRTU. Participants also had a chance to visit the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry and talk with KNRTU graduate students.
