09.12.2021

From November 29 to December 3, within the framework of the “Algarysh” grant under the program “Development of international cooperation in engineering training programs “Material Science”, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dilbar Sultanova, Head of Education and Methodics Department Gulnaz Lutfullina and Chair for the Department of Foreign Languages in Professional Communication Julia Ziyatdinova visited Eskisehir Technical University.

During the visit, meetings were held with the university administration, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as heads and members of the Chemical Engineering Department, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Protection, Materials Science and Textile Design.

KNRTU already had established connections with Turkish colleagues: the rector of the university, Professor Tundzhai Dogeroglu took part in the conference of the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy IGIP, held at KNRTU in 2013. In 2019, the universities won a joint grant for the development of academic mobility within the framework of the Erasmus+ in “Chemical Technology. And in 2021 the parties signed an agreement to booster cooperation in science and education.

One of the points of the Agreement is to enhance student mobility. Last week a group of KNRTU master’s degree students got a chance to visit Eskisehir Technical University for their research internship. Students from Eskisehir University presented their research projects in the advanced fields of green chemistry, hydrogen energy, and KNRTU students - in the field of microfluidics, supercritical fluid technology and cosmetics production. They enjoyed an opportunity to do labs and visit lectures together with Turkish students.

KNRTU students were accompanied by the Chair for the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Yuri Galyametdinov, associate professors Valentina Osipova and Aliya Galeeva, and a specialist of International Affairs Daria Sokova.

Prof. Nezihe Ayaz (Chair for the Department of Chemical Engineering, Eskisehir Technical University) and Prof. Yuri Galyametdinov discussed educational programs and the main research areas to determine points of mutual interest.

The purpose of the visit was to expand inter-university cooperation in various educational and scientific areas, including international grant programs such as Erasmus+.

The parties agreed to submit joint applications for the Erasmus+ program in 2021-22 aimed at the development of a joint master's degree program.

Meetings with professors of the Eskisehir Technical University demonstrated a high interest in the implementation of joint projects, which is largely due to similar research areas in sustainable development, the possibility of preparing joint applications to a number of international funds.
