REPRESENTATIVES FROM KNRTU DISCUSSED FUTURE COOPERATION WITH EGE UNIVERSITY

The project team under the program of Development of International Cooperation in Engineering Training Program within the framework of the grant of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan Algarysh, headed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dilbar Sultanova, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department Gulnaz Lutfullina, Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages for Professional Communication Julia Ziyatdinova and Head of the Protocol Office of the International Affairs Regina Verderevskaya visited Ege University (Izmir City, Turkey).

Ege University is one of the oldest and largest universities in Turkey. It offers a full range of educational programs in various fields, most of which are taught in English. The university has more than 65 thousand students and more than 9 thousand of PhD students. Also, the project group from KNRTU visited the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Bioengineering, which has 26 laboratories involved in research, both at the level of molecular engineering and nuclear development.

Current scientific topics were discussed in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The main fields of study are the process of waste utilization, wastewater treatment, biomass energy production and other ways to reduce emissions and decontaminate environmentally damaging products.

Members of the Department of Light Industry Technology and Materials showed the laboratories of physical and chemical control of textiles, detailing, laundry, knitting, computer aided fashion design and demonstrated production of cotton, which is located in the department.

The Vice-Rector of Ege University summarized the results of the visit on the final day of the internship. Departments expressed the interest in further cooperation and work on mutual scientific directions. One of the key points were that the parties agreed to exchange students for internships.
