24.03.2023

On March 22nd, a new advanced technology class opened in KNRTU. The class is designed to teach master’s degree students to solve production tasks using future technologies such as 3D, BIM, AR/VR, BigData, Digital Twin. Also, the class is equipped with the latest hardware and software.

Yury M. Kazakov, Acting Rector of KNRTU, representatives of administration, institutes and departments of our university, as well as representatives of partner enterprises of Innovative Technopark Idea, Neftekhimproekt, RTSim and System Solution company took part in the opening of this class, which was created within the development of Advanced Engineering School (AES) of KNRTU PromKhimTech.

The creation of the KNRTU project class was the result of support from the largest domestic oil and gas enterprises. The equipment was purchased by Gazprom in partnership with AES Promkhimtech, and the furnishing was financed by Rosneft.

According to Nataliya Yu. Bashkirceva, Director of PanKhimTech Research and Production Center of KNRTU, the digital classroom will solve such problems as the implementation of the domestic software for 3D-design and VR-modeling (NanoCad, CSoft, VRconcept) and simulators for technological processes (RTSim) in the educational processes, as well as the development and introduction of new simulators using VR and Digital Twins elements. For example, a technologist can virtually visit a plant before it is even built.
