Students participated in the international research to practice conference “Innovations and Investments as Drivers of Social and Economic Development”

On May 1, 2021, three graduate students of the engineering MSc degree program in Innovation (Project Management) from the Department of Innovation in Chemical Technology participated in the international research to practice conference “Innovations and Investments as Drivers of Social and Economic Development”. The conference was held in the city of Voronezh under support of the research and publishing center Aeterna. The conference web-page is https://aeterna-ufa.ru/events/nk-ec-142/

The students will graduate this year, and the topics of their reports were related to their graduate Master’s thesis and experiences of the European Union in this field which they studied in the Jean Monnet Module “The European Union Entrepreneurial Environment at HEIs: Changing the World by Technology Ventures” courses during their first year in the Master’s degree program.

Due to the COVID-19 limitations, the conference was held online, and gathered 19 students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, China and Mongolia.

Ilnat Valiev gave a report titled “Entrepreneurial University 3.0 in European Union” analyzing the new role of the universities in the economy of knowledge where they have to focus on entrepreneurship apart from teaching and research. His research was supervised by Dr. Artem Bezrukov.

Diana Kosheeva gave a report together with her research supervisor Dr. Anna Starodubova titled “Role of International Quality Standards in Chemical Production”. The report covered the issues of individual ISO certificates in the EU countries ranking the countries according to the number of ISO certificates received.

Rifkat Sultanov’s report was titled “Corporate Social Responsibility of Business in Countries of European Union”. The research was supervised by Dr. Julia Ziyatdinova and focused on the issues of intercultural communication in corporate social responsibility for building cooperation between the EU countries and Russia.

The reports received an overall positive feedback from other conference participants.

The students received certificates of participation in the conference, and their research supervisors received recognition letters. The reports were published as papers in conference proceedings.
