The Department was established in 1997. The Department is young, with the employees’ average age below 40. The staff is enriched with the most perspective graduates who took Ph.D. studies at the Department. Department Professors give classes at comprehensive schools, lyceums and colleges.

Academics

The Department provides full-time and part-time, free and tuition-based education in the following Specialist Degree programs:

  • Technology of Bread, Confectionery and Pasta Products (Technology of Dietary and Healthful Cereal Products, and Technology of Long Storage Products).
  • Technology of Meat and Meat Products (Sausage and Fast Food Production).
  • Technology of Public Catering Products (Technology and Organization of Special Kinds of Food and Certification of Services and Quality Management of Public Catering Enterprises).

The Department offers Ph.D. Degree programs and Postdoctoral positions.

Each student undergoes practical training at the industrial enterprises according to his specialization, so he is prepared for work under real working conditions. The department has following practical training bases: JSC Sviyazhskijj Mjasokombinat, JSC “Bakery and Confectionary Factory”, JSC Kazanskijj myasokombinat, JSC Chelny-hleb, JSC Nizhnekamskijj hlebokombinat, Korston-Kazan, the restaurant Myasnoy Udar (Meat Kick), It-servis, Tatneft Urs and other industrial and commercial organizations.

The Department graduates are in demand and they successfully work in leading enterprises of the Tatarstan Republic, Volga region and the Urals (cities Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Chelny, Chistopol, Tolyatti, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Ufa, Ekaterinburg district, Perm district, Kirov district, and etc.)
