International Master's Degree Program

SMART MATERIALS

Major code No.18.04.01

Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry at Kazan National Research Technological University offers an interdisciplinary Master of Science in Smart Materials program. It is a four-semester full-time degree program designed to educate students in recent advances of smart materials science required to understand key aspects of their design, fabrication, modification, and applications.

Smart materials are the materials that are capable of generating a selective response to external stimuli by changing their size, shape, optical properties, and etc.

This program equips students with tools and skills in smart materials manufacture and process development involving complex supramolecular systems that include liquid crystals, quantum dots, nanoparticles, macromolecules, surfactants, and their combinations. The program focuses on applications of such systems in molecular electronics and medicine.

The graduates from this program are well-equipped for careers in engineering such as advanced materials, nanotechnology, and polymer engineering as well as engineering-related careers in research and development both nationally and internationally.

*Tuition fee 171 600 - 189 600 ₽/year
