On April 21, the support action was held in all dormitories of KNRTU: food packages were distributed to students in need. The University’s Trade Union Organization purchased more than 2 tons of products, including potatoes, onions, carrots, rice, pasta, tea and sunflower oil.
"Currently, about half of the places are occupied in the dormitories of KNRTU – more than one and a half thousand students living there are stayingin Kazanfor the period of isolation. Most of them are citizens of foreign countries and residents of remote regions of Russia. At this time of global struggle, they need to continue their studies in an unusual, intensive distance format, many have lost the opportunity to work part-time and financial assistance from their parents."- said Rector Sergey Yushko.
The Rector expressed special gratitude to the Trade Union Organization for their care and assistance to students who are now in a difficult life situation.
"I am sure that only together wecan overcome all challenges." - said Sergey Yushko in conclusion.
