The Results of the Contest of Student Scientific and Practical Works "Your Eco-View"

The Faculty of Environmental, Technological and Information Security held a contest of student scientific and practical works "Your Eco-View", the purpose of which was to attract the younger generation to solve environmental problems and stimulate the development of research work. The competition was held as a webinar, the final was held on May 6 and 7.

59 applications from 12 KNRTU faculties were submitted for participation in the competition. The most active were the students of the Faculty of Environmental, Technological and Informational Security (FETIS), the Faculty of Food Technologies (FFT), the Faculty of Chemical Technologies (FCT) and the Faculty of Technology and Processing of Rubbers and Elastomers (FTPRE).

18 works were selected for the final in three categories:

- Research Work

- Engineering Project

- Social and Multimedia Project

The judging was carried out by a competent jurycommittee, which consisted of leading experts: Alexander Sirotkin, Dean of FFT, Head of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology, Lyubov' Zenitova, Head of the Department of Technology of Synthetic Rubber, Alexey Shinkevich, Head of the Department of Logistics and Management, Lilia Makhotkina, Head of the Department Designing Clothes and Shoes, Elena Cherkasova,Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing, Vladislav Dryakhlov, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Ecology.

The jury was co-chaired by Rifgat Shagidullin, Director of the Institute of Ecology and Subsoil Use of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Alexey Burmistrov, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of KNRTU, Natalia Baranova, Dean of FETIS, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and the contest's presenter. Technical support at all stages of the organization was provided by the staff of the Department of Information Security – assistant - Alina Kasimova and Associate Professor - Lina Safiullina.

The remote format of work and study did not become an obstacle to the public defense of competitive works. Despite the fact that the transition to the new format required additional efforts from each participant and member of the jury, the competition was successful and was presented at a professional level. The jury noted the high quality of works submitted for the competition, the depth of study of the topics and the students’ interest in solving existing environmental problems.

All participants of the «Your Eco-View» contest received digital certificates. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and prizes, and their scientific supervisors will receive Letters of Appreciation at the end of the self-isolation period.

Winners of the «Your Eco-View» competition:

Research Work category: 1st place - Ilnaz Minnegaliev, Galiya Shaikhutdinova, Adel Sirazetdinov. Project: Opportunities for secondary Processing of Thermoplastic Vulcanizates

2nd place – Olga Rakova. Project: Estimation of Biodegradability of Modified Epoxy Resin-based Materials

3d place was divided among:

- Veronika Fetisova. Project: Utilization of Obsolete Pyroxylin Powders;

- Indira Ziganshina and Valeria Nikolaeva. Project: Industrial Waste Disposal of Asbestos Production;

- Oksana Guryanova. Project: Nanostructured Reagents in the Processes of Biological Waste Water Treatment.

Engineering Project category: 1st place - team of students Artur Muzafarov and Larisa Kuznetsova, the project theme: Production of Lawn Lattices Made of Secondary Polyethylene.

2nd place - Yulia Makarova, project theme: Disposal of Drilling Waste in the Far North.

Social and Multimedia Project category: 1st place – group of authors Daria Goloveshkina and Andrey Konstantinov , project theme: Digital Assistant as a Means of Creating Awareness in the Waste Disposal.

2nd place - team of students Sofia Yukova, Leila Samatova, Vladimir Smirnov, project theme: Utilization of Computers and Laptops.

3d place was divided between:

- team of students Parveva Adelina, Elena Frolova, the theme of the project: Edible Eco-Friendly and Delicious Tableware;

- Temurbek Begaliev, project theme: Student Group named Recycle.
