Lyceum Students of KNRTU are the Absolute Winners of the All-Russian Competition of Scientific and Technological Projects - "Big Challenges»

The All-Russian Competition of Scientific and Technological Projects - "Big Challenges»allows students to draw up their ideas, inventions and researches into the project, as well as submit it to experts for evaluation.

The competitionfinal brought together 1,200 contestants from different regions of Russia, whose development vector is engineering, inventive and creative activities through the promotion of scientific knowledge and achievements.

In the final,the KNRTU Lyceum team was represented by students of grades 8-10 (6 students – 21 % of the total number of finalists from the region), the team leader – supervisor Rezeda Bagatova, project creativitymentor, breakthrough competencescoach-mentor. Four of the 12 areas of the competition have been mastered: "Agro-Industrial and Biotechnologies" (this section was chosen on the recommendation of the Board of Trustees of the Lyceum), "New Materials", "Smart City and Security", "Cognitive Research".

Prototypes, 3D models of engineering projects werecreated at the Orbital Youth Innovation Creativity Center. Different scientific experiments were implemented using the resources of the KNRTUlaboratories, Technopolis Himgrad, Boarding Lyceum for Gifted Children with Advanced Study of Chemistry.

The absolute winners were Artur Bagaveev (8th grade) with the project "Obtaining Liquid Vermicompost Using Dung Worms", Anna Pogodina (9th grade) with the project "Euphemisms in the Speech of Modern Teenagers (on the Example of Students of the Chemical Lyceum)", Andrey Ivanov with the development "Monitoring Studies of Soil Mesofauna and Herpetobionts of the Different Grasslands of the Yalchinsky Foresty".

Profile experts, project managers, experts of the Sirius Educational Center (EC) highly appreciated the relevance and innovativeness, the analysis of existing solutions and methods, the team work methods, the quality of the results and the individual contribution to the participants’ project. Lyceum students were included in the state information resource on children with outstanding abilities and were invited to participate in the Sirius EC summer program to solve cases of BIOCAD, Roscosmos, Rosatom, Gazpromneft Scientific Technical Center, Severstal, SIBUR, Genotek.

Statistics for Russia:

Agro-Industrial Technologies - Andrey Ivanov (4th position in the rating), Artur Bagaveev (6th position in the rating), 95 finalists, 30 winners and prize-winners, 8 absolute winners.

Cognitive Research – Anna Pogodina (2nd position in the rating), 85 finalists, 22 winners and prize-winners, 7 absolute winners.
