On July 30, Interfax International Information Group presented the 11th annual National University Ranking for 2020. KNRTU has risen to the 25th place among the best universities in our country, ahead of all Russian universities of chemical and technological profile.

The list of the best universities in Russia is traditionally headed by the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The second place was taken by the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI), the third - by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Among the seven universities of Tatarstan that were taken into account in the ranking, only KFU (10), KNRTU (25), KSMU (60) and KNRTU-KAI (68) were included in the top 100.

The activities of educational institutions were assessed on a 1000-point scale by six main parameters: educational activity, research activity, social environment, brand, internationalization (international cooperation), innovation and technological entrepreneurship.

The positions of our University have grown significantly in the categories of "Education" (31st place, in 2019 — 68th), "Social Environment" (26th against 40th) and "Internationalization" (49th-50th against 75th). When forming the rating for an educational direction, the range of educational programs implemented, the quality of applicants (average score of the Unified State Examination), the cost of educational services, the organization of practice and work with schools were taken into account. The ranking includes 337 leading Russian universities (10 federal and 29 national research universities).
