The first meeting of the Coordinating Council of CIS Network University (CIS NU) in 2024 was held on June 30. The CIS NU is a project under which the participating universities successfully implement programs for joint training of Master's degree students. The event was organized by RUDN University. Traditionally, the meeting began with summarizing the results of the universities' activities in the 2023/2024 academic year.
This year KNRTU participated in the event online. Our university was represented by Anna Sukhristina, Director of the International Affairs, Svetlana Starygina, Director of the Institute of Automated Control Systems and Information Technologies, and Albina Azanova, Acting Chair of the Department of Light Industry Technology and Materials.
The possibility of including the new training direction “Light Industry Technology” in the list of network programs of the CIS NU was considered During the meeting. KNRTU, Auezov South Kazakhstan University and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I.Razzakov expressed their desire to join the program. Albina Azanova made a presentation on this issue and spoke about the relevance of joint educational programs. “Today the Light Industry of Russia and CIS countries are in the stage of active development and implementation of new technologies. International networking will contribute to the competitiveness of our Master's programs, increase academic mobility and develop cooperation in the scientific field,” she said.
A solemn signing of the Memorandum on joining the new training program “Informatics and Computer Science” within the framework of the CIS SU took place at the event. The signing of the Agreement on the creation of a network program with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia in this direction is planned in a distance format. Thus, at the end of 2023 the Agreement was signed with Auezov South Kazakhstan University in Biotechnology.
