The team of Kazan Technological College for the first time in its history became the champion in the Championship of the Republic of Tatarstan in women's basketball.

“We wanted to end the season on a winning side and, although the opponents were not easy, thanks to the well-coordinated team play we managed to cope with the task assigned by the coaching staff,” said Daria Danilova, Captain of the KNRTU team.

“Winning the Volga-Ural division is especially important. A difficult final match with the Moscow Aviation Institute team ended with a victory in overtime with a difference of two points and brought us the title of champions. Therefore, we really wanted to win the national championship among women's teams and successfully finish the season”, said Evgeny Malygin, the team's Mentor and Head of Physical Education at Kazan Technological College.

The girls from Kazan Technological College were rivals of six strong teams, composed of experienced players, nevertheless, our girls managed to win six times and win the title of champions.

“I would especially like to emphasize the victory over the strong team of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, and to thank our fans from the Urals to the Baltic, who supported us throughout the season, as well as the administration of Kazan Technological College and the Miras Sports Complex”, said Evgeny Malygin.
