On May 28-30, the VII All-Russian Student Scientific and Technical Conference “Intensification of Heat and Mass Transfer Processes, Industrial Safety and Ecology” was held at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical and Petrochemical Industry of KNRTU. More than 160 reports from 32 Russian and Belorussian universities were submitted for participation in the conference. Representatives of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and Volgograd State Technical University arrived in Kazan. The topics of the submitted reports covered a wide range of issues related to chemical engineering processes, their hardware design, safety and ecology.

While opening the conference, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical and Petrochemical Industry Alexey V. Burmistrov noted that its history began in 2005, when the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Department’s founder, Professor Alexey M. Nikolaev, was held on the basis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical Industry. Since then, there have been held 6 conferences. This year the preparation and organization of the conference was carried out by the Department of Mechanical Engineering for Chemical Industry.

The conference was organized in 3 sections. In this year, the school section was held for the first time. Within the framework of the conference, there was held a contest among student works and works of the school section participants, the best of which were awarded with diplomas.
